How to keep your account secure
Staying alert is the best protection for any online account. When playing on a platform like bb8, a few simple precautions keep both your account and your money safe.
bb8 uses SSL encryption on every login to protect your information. However, good habits on your end matter too. In particular, watch out for fake sites and phishing links — never enter your details on any site that looks like bb8 but isn't.
If you have read the responsible gaming guidelines, you already know that account security matters not just for financial reasons, but for your personal safety as well. Follow the tips below.
Strong password
Use a password of at least 8 characters that includes uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Do not use your birthday or name as a password.
Never share your OTP
No bb8 staff member will ever ask for your OTP by phone or chat. If anyone does, it is a scam.
How to spot a fake site
Before logging in, carefully check the site URL in your browser's address bar. Even one extra character can be a sign of a fake site.
Use your own device
Avoid logging in from a public computer or someone else's phone. If you must, remember to log out when you are done.
Contact support immediately if something seems wrong
If you notice any unusual activity on your account, report it to bb8's 24/7 live chat right away. Delays increase the risk of loss.
Change your password regularly
Changing your password every few months is a good habit. Do not use the same password across multiple sites.
Common login issues and solutions
Having trouble logging in? The table below lists the most common issues and their straightforward solutions.
Most login problems have simple causes — a wrong password, a weak internet connection, or an outdated browser. Check the list below and try to fix the issue yourself. If nothing works, bb8's live chat support is always available.
If you use the bb8 mobile app, also check whether the app is up to date — older versions can sometimes cause login issues.
